Sooo Frustrated Any Tricks To Get Her To Nap Longer

My 8 month old takes 2 naps a day and then goes to bed for the night at 7:45. Her 2 naps are RIDICULOUSLY short, they don't even reach 30 minutes anymore they're like 25-30 minutes long. She wakes up still exhausted, rubbing her eyes, yawning, and is just SOOOOO cranky until she takes her next nap (she won't go back to sleep I've tried everything and she won't take a nap any earlier than the usual time of her 2nd nap). And then her 2nd nap is the same way and she's just sooooo tired after waking up. I wish I could get her to sleep longer so she'd wake up and be refreshed and in a good mood. It's just so frustrating because I've tried everything to get her to sleep longer. Today, I even went in the room and sat next to her crib after like 20 or so minutes of her sleeping and I tried to pop the soothie back in her mouth when she started to stir to see if I could prevent her from waking up and go back to sleep but it didn't work.

I had the same prob with my daughter. I don't know if you are for CIO but that was the only thing that worked for us. I couldn't do it, but my sitter was able to work with dd using CIO at naptime and we went from 25 minute naps x2 a day to 45+ minute naps 3 times a day. When she'd wake, the sitter would just leave her in the crib for another 15-20 minutes...sometimes she'd cry but mostly she'd fall back to sleep. For us, it worked. I was so in the habit of going to dd as soon as she stirred from her nap and she was abusing this knowledge! :)
