My 17 month old is also getting over the flu/cold. She had a fever and a real bad ear infection. It was a hard week and a long week. She has been on antibiotics for 10 days and is now done. I noticed on her top lip...two white sores....I don't think they are cold sores. Could it be from her cold or from her soother (moisture)...... Just checking to see what you think?

cold sores are a slight form of herpes and its catched somehow, iv read how before but i forget. i myself suffer from cold sores but as iv grown older i dont get them as much i did as a child though. i got them when i had a cold or a sickness. coldsore virus is always under the skin and its wether one decides to pop up or something, but since you said they were white maybe its just a fever blister, wich is basicaly a blister type sore caused by a fever or cold. iv only had one of them once and it was nasty! how bad was your little girls coz they are painful. your doc would be able to tell you what they are if you take her to one while shes still got it. goodluck let us know what it was.
