My one month old is ALWAYS squirming and grunting in his sleep. It gets to the point where it seems painful to him. I dont think that he is constipated because he poops reguarly and it isnt hard either. Is this normal? If not then what could be the problem?

All of my kids used to do that when they were newborns....my 3 month old still does it. Maybe they are trying to get comfy. :)

well my 3mnt old squirmed and grunted for a long time untill i figured out it was gas, listen or feel for gas and make sure it isnt actually pain. or reflux does he arch hes back or pick up his feet? just to be sure

wheres bonnie? it sounds like acid reflux...try sitting your LO up...and call his dr just be sure...either that or ask bonnie...she knows everythiung about reflux...

lol I certainly don't know everythign about reflux, but thanks. hehe It COULD be reflux, it could be gas, it could be a lot of things. If he is not crying, he may very well be dreaming. If you think it is painful, I would take him in to see the ped. :)

My three-month-old often squirms during the night, and when I get up to feed her I find her perpendicular to the way I left her! She also cries in her sleep on occasion and she doesn't seem to have gas, so I guess that babies can have bad dreams too.
