Standard Or Wide Necked Bottles

Just wondering whether you preferred standard or wide necked bottles. I've heard that wide necked bottles are better for preventing wind/colic but curious as to others' experience. Ds is just beginning to take a daily bottle of br___tmilk (as I'm starting back at work) and is 4.5 months on Friday. Where has the time gone??? :-)

My son had a very tiny mouth and a real problem latching onto the b___st. When we transitioned to bottles, he also had a really hard time latching onto wide neck bottles. For us, it was no choice- we had to do the narrow standard bottles.

Oh, yeah. And he's 7 mos now and we still use standard bottles.

We use the playtex bottles -- he only suckes on the tip unless it's soft and then he'll get all of it in his mouth. He's not good with the really wide ones though -- he doesn't like to work for it.

My daughter is b___stfed and sometimes I get her a bottle (very few and far between) she likes the wide ones. I think its closer like the b___st for her.

Wide -neck bottles are supposed to be "similar" to the b___st. So if you plan to continue to bf, you should try the wide-neck bottles first. Good luck!
