So Madalyn has been on ceraels for about 1 month now and for about a week she has gone up to 1/2 cup at her dinner feeding ( I think it looks like alot but if I make less she wants more) the rest of the day she gets br___tmilk and at lunch I have started her on 1Tbs peas. My question is she has always had soft br___t baby stools, but she is for the last 3 days only going very little each time but... it is formed in the crack of her bumb. Is she constipated or is this what solids poo looks like? She doesnt act cranky or anything. Should she get some water for more fluids? I really would like to avoid the whole juice thing.

My son was constipated only once, during a formula change when he was 3 months...he is now 10 months. His poops were hard little b___s, and made his bumb bleed. If your dd's poops are still soft, and she is in no discomfort, all should be well. Even a peanut b___ter like constistancy is O.K. My son has no more issues, and I did not and have not yet given him juice.

Since my son started solids his stools have become firmer, but not the hard b___s of constipation. He is formula fed but it sounds like your daughter is going through the same thing. I'm sure it's normal, more solids = more solid poo! Gross! ;)

It sounds about normal. My doc said as long as the poo is not firmer than peanut b___ter, the baby's not constipated. When they start eating only solids, their poo ends up looking like regular grown-up poo...kind of gross to change diapers like that.
