My daughter has strep throat, she is constantly throwing up...she has a fever. Every time I give her tylenol she throws it up ( I give it once every 4 hours unless I feel she don't need it I will let her go as long as she can since she just throws it up) She takes Amoxicillin (spelling) twice a day (doesn't throw that up, thank goodness) she just started yesterday, and because she was throwing up I made sure we took her to the doctor so we could get something to help her but I had no idea she had strep throat. She is constantly crying...any info? She is just 3 months (4 months in a week)

Hi Nerdy, Sorry I don't have much advice for you, but I just wanted to ask what the dr did to diagnose her? My pedi told me that when the baby is a certain age, they have to do a spinal tap, etc...and frankly I'm petrified of my lo getting a fever! How long has yours had a fever?

They swabbed the back of her throat and she tested positive. She has had a fever for a day and a half now, it comes and goes. I don't know what to do for her.

When my ds7 was an infant, he also would throw up medicine, which totally defeated the purpose. We talked to the dr. and we ended up giving him suppositories. Not the best to give but they made him feel better and his fevers were under control. They sell them at most pharmacys and big retail chains like Target and WalMart but I'd ask the dr. since she's still so young.
