Suggestions On Flying With Infant

We are taking our first trip with dd next week and I'm really nervous about it. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions about what to take on the plane. She is bottle fed so I know to pack at least one bottle (its only a 2 1/2 hour flight (fr NY to Fla), so that should be enough, a few paci's, some hand toys, books. Any other good ideas would be appreciated. Also, about the car seat thing, dd has pretty much outgrown the infant carrier (she's 5 mos on the 26th), so I wont be bringing that, I'm just taking the stoller. I know I will end up taking too much, but I want to make sure she occupied and comfortable. Thanks Ladies

I would bring along more than one bottle what if the plane is delayed on the tarmac like those people a few weeks ago? Will you need a car seat in Florida? If so I would bring that to the gate and have them gate check it then if there is room on the plane ask if you can bring it on board I am very anti holding you los on your lap its not very safe if there is an aborted take-off, landing or worse. Image holding you baby i your car but on the plane even on the ground your excess 100+ mph. Other wise diapers, formula and bottles, entertainment also dress in layers incase plane is hot/cold. Have a great flight.

i am a crazy worst-case-scenario planner, so I would bring double or triple of everything you need -- I would DEFINITELY bring more than one bottle! If you are travelling with someone, like your husband, I would bring on the carseat if you can, its a lot safer and you get more storage space. We purchased a seat for our dd so that we would for sure get her carseat on.
