Tampons After Childbirth

Okay...this might be weird but I have to ask...before I had my baby, I would always use tampons whenever I wa on my period, but since i've had my daughter (who is 5 months old) i've tried using them but I always leak!! I don't know if it's because I have a heavier period or because i'm stretched out from the delivery (my daughter was 9lbs 10oz). Can anyone else relate? Thanks

What brand are you using? I use Kotex because I have really heavy periods and everything else leaks. Kotex expand out to the sides, instead of just getting longer like some other brands do.

I agree with Jbear, Kotex seem to work the best for me, too. Otherwise, just change them more often??

oh, and I always wear a panty liner, just in case it leaks or any other surprises.

I was just about to ask this question myself... My son is 6 months and my good ole Playtex just doesn't work any more. My period isn't heavier, the darn things leak even on my light days. I'll try the Kotex brand. Boy, the price of motherhood! ;)

I think it should get better... The same thing was happening to me and I seemed to have gotten a little closer to normal, and the problem fixed itself.
