I just got this in an email and thought it was a great idea to help with teething pain....******************If your baby refuses to use any of the teething rings or chilled items you give him or her to relieve his or her teething pain, try this idea: put a few ounces of fruit juice in his or her bottle and freeze it upside down in the freezer, using an empty baby food jar to hold the bottle upright and to catch any juice that drips out before freezing. Your baby will love the juice treat and chewing on the frozen nipple will give him or her some relief from teething pain.

how old does your baby have to be to give them juice? my DS has been teething form about 2.5 months and its getting so much worse...hes 4 months now...

Deirdra, if I were you, I'd mix 2oz juice and 2oz water. :o) Hope he gets to feeling better soon!

Also, if you don't want to give him juice, you can do the same technique with water.

Won't that be hard on their gums?? Do they have to be able to hold a bottle?

Unless yours is like mine and will get ticked off that nothing is coming out of the bottle.... But sounds like a great tip!

It wouldn't be any harder than a frozen teething ring....I don't think that they'd have to be able to hold their own bottle....you could do it for them and let them chomp away.

Hahaha jas!! I suppose I never thought about that! Maybe feed first? Poor kids will try sucking like crazy!! :o)

That is a good idea! I'll have to try that when Gretchen wakes up!
