Teething At 4 Months

I think Oliver may be teething although he is only 4 months old. He has been drooling heavily and at times knaws on his fist in a frenzied way. He's also been really fussy the last few days, crying and shoving his fist in his mouth. He also has refused to nurse a couple of times. Ihad to give him a bottle because he just screamed when I tried to nurse him. Could it be an ear infection or does it sound like teething? He has no fever. How long does teething pain last and is there anything I can do to help him??

Yep...Mason is teething as well at 4 months. I don't see any teeth yet but it is so obvious. I dunno how long it lasts. :(

my daughter had 2 teeth by the time she was 4 months. your son's symptoms sound just like what she went through. at walmart they sell teething tablets... they're tiny tiny little pills that dissolve as soon as they touch the baby's tongue. i used them for my daughter and they seemed to help a lot.also, i would freeze carrots and let her knaw on them (with careful supervision, of course).. she liked that a lot. it seemed like her teething "pain" lasted until she was about 7 or 8 months, although she didn't have all of her teeth until she was a year old.

My daughter had 2 teeth at 4 months so i'd say its teething, she now has her 7th one coming though and shes 8 months , teething lasts a preety long time. baby bonjela or baby nurofin is great for pain relief ;)

Not all babies get fever when teething you may be lucky. My mother said with my sister she would just look in her mouth and there was another tooth!! She did say she drooled alot but I will take that over fever anyday!!
