Teething Need Help

My son is only 9 weeks old but has all the signs and symptoms that he is teething. Is this possible? Has anyone had a baby teeth early?

My eldest daughter got her first teeth at 2 months, so it is possible. My younger girl has shown signs of teething since 6 weeks, but she is 4 months and doesn't have any teeth yet. You can give your son tylenol for the pain if it seems to be bothering him a lot, or use a chilled teething ring or a little bit of baby orajel.

It's early but not unheard of. My son got teeth really early. He's almost 8 months and he already has 4 teeth all the way in and 3 more on the way. The two front teeth are a pain for them.

My daughter got her first teeth at 3 months. It is possible for a baby to get teeth this early. Try giving infant Tylenol for the pain, and a cold damp washcloth to chew on. (Trust me, this works better than the teething toys you can buy in the store.) I have heard from some dental hygenist friends of mine that oragel makes the gums hard, and more painful for the teeth to come through. Plus, my daughter just seemed to get more angry when I made her whole mouth numb with the stuff. Trust me, teething is not the end of the world... the "TERRIBLE TWOS" must be :)
