The Difference Between Stage 1 And Stage 2 Foods

Someone gave me 3 cases of baby food - all Stage 2. We opened some this past weekend (peaches, s.pots, and apples) and there didn't seem to be much of a difference in the consistancy of the two stages. My son only eats cereal at this point, but I was just wondering if anyone knew the difference between the two?

the consistency is about the same but the stage 2 is mostly combiation dinners. The fruits and vegetables are the same as stage one if they have the same label they are just bigger.

Also, the stage 2 makes it easier to give a serving. Once your child is old enough to eat stage 2 they are probably eating more, thus will eat an entire jar (4 oz.) of stage 2 instead of having to eat 2 (2 oz.) jars of stage 1. It's more cost efficient as well.

Yep, many stage 2's are still only 1 ingredinet- just depends on what you buy. They are just larger- no difference in ingredients.
