Things To Do

Hey was just wondering what you all do with your lo's during the day. I live in a very boring town and my son seems to be going thru a tantrum stage where I cant seem to take him anywhere without him screaming and causing a scene. I've been thinking about taking him to daycare once every couple weeks or so just so he can socialize with other kids. Other than that he relies totally on me for all of his needs and wants. There are days when I just dont feel like playing with him all the time. I feel really bad about it too.. I have limited time with the car we own and since I dont really know anyone here so we basically go to walmart and walk around. Any ideas would be helpful and appreciated.

Hi, I am a partial sahm. I have a 2yo and a 4mo. My 2yo goes to daycare three days a week. I send her there for two reasons, 1. the interaction is awesome...she learns to get over hurdles there that she can't do on her own at home. 2. she learns more there than I really have time to do at home. she's been counting to 14 for a long time now and has known her abc's for close to 6-7 months. Oh, I guess there is a 3rd one.......my sanity. I would lose it I believe. It also gives me the chance to bond with my 4mo.

lol walmart has everything. Anyway those are all very good reasons... soon I will have a newborn to look after as well and wonder how I will get through those few couple of months. Daycare sounds awesome.. =)

We go feed the ducks, play at the park near our house, take walks and talk about what we see, do art projects, dance, all kinds of fun stuff. Also, at our mall there is a play-place for toddlers that I take my dd to. I just grab a cup of coffee, sit there talking with other moms and watch my daughter have a lot of fun.

BTW, don't fret, I have a dd who just turned 2, and a son who is 2-months-old. It can be done, and not only that, it can be fun!
