This Made Me Laugh

I went to lunch with a few of my single friends yesterday. Well all they talked about was their lipsticks, purses, etc. Not to mention checking out guys at the bar. I feel like I'm on a totally different page with them! It's funny the things that seemed important before you had a baby!! LOL

I agree! I also feel like before I had dd material things were way more important then they are now - now the only important thing to me is being with my dd during the day and waking up with her every morning - I avoid spending money at all cost just to be a stay at home mom so I dont miss dd's babyhood. I wish I saved like this before I had her!!!!

My best friend and I went through a really awkward stage like that when I had my son. She didn't have a child until 2 years later and we were totally on different pages!! She couldn't understand why I could think of very little to say that didn't involve baby care and i couldn't understand who would give a cr8p about the latest celeb gossip, etc. Fortunately we both have kids now (hers are 4 1/2 and 17 months), so we're on the same page again ;-) And Heather F... I wish I would have saved, too, when I was single and making the $$!!!
