Tried Switching To Whole Milk And Dd Got Sick

Hi, I really need some advice and input. My dd turned a year on the 4th and as advised I started her on whole milk. I gave it to her in sippy cups and mixed it half and half with her formula. After about 4 days of doing that she started having terrible tummy pains and very bad diarrhea and last night she vomited. I called medical advice and they said it sounds like she's having a reaction to the milk and to put her back on whole formula. I gave her a bottle of formula and she drank it all and had no problem. I was just wondering if any of you went thru this when you tried switching to milk? What was the outcome...were they eventually able to have milk? I'm just trying to get her weaned from formula and the bottle and I'm having a real hard time. Thanks in advance..

My ds has a milk allergy or intolerance so we use Lactaid instead of reg. milk and no problems since we switched. I would try either the Lactaid or soy milk.

Sometimes whole milk can be hard for babies to digest. Maybe try 2% and see if that is better.....
