Trying To Wean Now She S Malnourished

I've tried everything. She's been given the bottle regularly since she was born but once I stopped using the nipple shield when she was 3 weeks, she stopped taking the bottle. I've tried everything. Giving her the bottle to play with, giving her the bottle with br___tmilk, giving her the bottle with different kinds of formula, mixing formula and br___tmilk, having someone else try to feed her, different nipples, a sippy cup, taking her outside to feed her, trying to trick her into drinking right next to my br___t... It came to a point where I was so determined for her to take one sip that she became weak, a little sick and thin (she's already very small, 13 pounds at 6 months, so I definitely don't want her to be any smaller) She will take the nipple shield but that's it. Please help!!

try a cup...my stepsister wouldn't take a bottle for anything and at 6 months they tried a cup and she took right to it. Might be more work for you but if it works it works. Also, she WILL eat eventually - I'd suggest not being around at all during feed times and let someone else feed her. She might skip a few feedings but she will eventually eat. I can't get Levi to take a bottle either but I don't care too much. I'm not trying to wean him at this point.
