I had a tubal done with my last c-section, but didn't get af until just this week (11 months post part.), but was also b___stfeeding. I would say that if you were on the pill though, going off the pill would cause your body to have to adjust. I used to be on the pill (before ttc for the last child) and it took me 3 months to get regular again.

Mine has been on time each month since I started pp 6 months after baby. Hope you figure it out. Under my instructions from the dr you still need to be careful for the first year. Might want to look into it.

Lisastar---under your instructions from the doctor you still need to be careful----are you talking about taking the pill or about having your tubes tied? If you are talking about the pill--yes, but tubes tieds--I haven't heard that from my doctor. Just wanted to get some clarification about that because I definately haven't been careful about it since my tubal--should be a final and instant thing from my understanding.

I had a tubal done when my son was about 4 wks. I wanted, well not really wanted to, but wanted to have a regualr af after I had my son. So as soon as that was over with I had my tubal. My af never skipped a beat. Same time every month. Now a friend of mine, hers is all over the board. I think that we are all just too different in this department. I wouldn't stress! IF you are stressing call your dr

I was TOLD to be caredul up to one Year , It is 150 % effective after one year. A person can still get pg up to the 12 month mark. I had to sign a paper understanding the procedure is final in which I have concenting to the fact I am not going to have more babies abd the dr is not liable for it I become pg after the procedure was done.

well the doc never said I had to be careful up to a year and in fact I asked the nurse post surgery if I should finish up my bc pills and she said no I did not have to worry about them anymore but I know I am not preggers like I said I did two tests LOL both very neg I just want to start cause I keep feeling like I am then I don't and I hate feeling all pmsy ya know it would be such a relief to just start already.....sorry guess I am being whiney now LOL and I just wanted some input to see if everyone that has had it is reg or not cause I have a feeling I am gonna hate not knowing when I am gonna start from month to month I was always so regular but I was always on the pill but even when I got off the pill to get prego I was regular but I have never just taken a few bc pills then stopped them so that most likely has something to do with it so I guess I have no other choice but to wait it out thanks ladies for all your input you all are great!!!

Lisastar--thanks for the clarification. My doctor never said anything about being careful. Good to know. It's been 11 months since mine now.

Ok--so after seeing Lisa's comment about her doctor telling her to be careful, I had to check it out---since I had heard that. What form of a tubal did you have? If you had your tubes cut--you don't have to be careful--your chances fo becoming preggo are 1 in 200. If you just had the clamps put on--then, yes, you need to be careful for a while. The clamps can fall off--and this form of tubal is the easiest to reverse with a higher chance of conceiving after removal. RL--I would just say that it is was your taking the pill for a few days that has messed with your system. I know that it does stink though waiting for it to come. That is exactly how I felt these last 11 months---I was b___stfeeding and just waiting for it to kick back in. And I figured it would show it's ugly head when I was not prepared for it. Luckily I was at home =)

The following is directly fromthe planned parenthood site and it talks about 2 different type of tubals......Sterilization is more than 99 percent effective in the first year. In following years, there is a limited possibility that tubes may reconnect by themselves. Up to one out of 100 women become pregnant each year after sterilization. About one out of three of these pregnancies are ectopic (develop in a fallopian tube) and may require emergency surgery. You must consider the operation permanent. You and your partner will need no other birth control method after a successful tubal sterilization. No-Incision Method — Hysteroscopic Tubal Sterilization A no-incision method for tubal sterilization is now available. With Essure, a clinician inserts two small, soft metallic coils — microinserts — through the v____a, cervix, and uterus into the fallopian tubes. Once in place, the coils cause scar tissue to grow, blocking the tubes. After two years of follow-up, Essure was found to be 99.8 percent effective at preventing pregnancy. Three months after insertion, a test called a hysterosalpingogram (HSG) is performed to make sure the tubes are permanently blocked. HSG is an x-ray test that takes pictures of the uterus and fallopian tubes after a dye has been inserted through the cervix. Until the HSG shows that the inserts are in the correct position and the tubes are blocked, another method of birth control must be used.

well I was in fact supposed to get the Essure procedure done but for some reason he could not do it so he went ahead and did the normal tubal they are cut...because I was planning for the Essure procedure I started my pill pack cause you have to use another form of bc for 3 months after the Essure is done then when I found out they did reg tubal I was told not to continue the pills cause there was no reason to LOL I guess I will just wait til it comes I suppose it will show up sooner or later LOL thanks so much all!!
