Does anyone know at what age we can give TYenol Cold & Cough or something for a cold, My 6 month old, has a terrible cough, anyone know what i can give him?

My doctor recommended we use 1/4 of a tsp of Triamenic cold and cough every 4-6 hours for my son- this was when he was only about 4 months ( about 13lbs). I am pretty sure that the Tylenol brand is the same thing, but you should give your ped. a call just to be sure. Word of warning...this med. makes my son HYPER not tired- it states that on the box too. Good luck!

I would definitely call the pedi office for dosage as it goes by weight...and that is especialy important when they are so little.

My 6 month old just had a cold and per the pharmacist's recommendation we gave him 1mL of Triaminic every 4-6 hours. He mostly had head congestion though, and was too stuffed up to sleep. Dr. Sears has some good info on different over the counter meds on his website. http://www.askdrsears.com/html/8/T089800.asp
