Update For Those Who Helped Me Get Mira To Sleep

Hi ladies. I posted a week or two ago because I could not get my 10 month old to fall asleep or stay asleep without staying in her room with her. I let her cry in 5 minute intervals, and then would go in and lay her back down and tell her it was naptime/bedtime and leave again. Well... IT WORKED! For the past several days, I lay her down and walk out, and she falls right to sleep - no crying at all! Sometimes she babbles to herself first. :) I don't know how it changed so fast, but thank you so much for giving me the courage to tough it out. Hearing her cry was sooo hard, but it really did the trick. And she's definitely not traumatized and doesn't hate me (lol - I was really afraid of that!) because I let her cry. She's so much happier now that she's getting the sleep she needs! So thank you! What would I do without you girls?!? :)

Jess, Thats great! Consistancy really works, they get use to routine pretty quick. I do the same thing with Kyleigh and it does work!

I'm happy to hear your LO is going to bed for you, not only is she getting her much needed sleep, but so are you, which is helping to make both of you a lot happier! I'm glad all of us moms have this forum to help each other out and give advice, because we all go through the same things with our babies, and it's nice to know we are not alone when times get stressful. Staying consistent is key and you're doing a great job!
