Vent Why Is Everyone So Pissy

I have read things on this forum where people are just rude and p___sy. I thought that this forum was for helping people and answering questions. I have come to this website and forum for over a year now and I have tried to be postive and give good advice. I don't really like conflict but gosh....some people are just right out mean. I try to jump back in forth to the other forums on this site to help people but some people are very caty. What is wrong with some????

I know! I gave advice to someone based on my knowledge of a subject... and the poster didn't like my answer so she posted a whole thread seeking me out saying that she didn't like my response! I couldn't believe it! Like you I just come on here to give the best response I can and some people are just rude. Some criticism is appropriate in some situations...but others are just looking to start drama.

I agree, frankly I am shocked by sdome of the posts lately, not to mention names but the one about somone on ehere being a size 00 is flat out rude. Its sad because I really enjoy the network of opinions on here. Recently someone called me "Horrid" for somthing I posted, honestly I agree Wellis10 - its bad lately and I hope it gets better.

Well all I can say is that most of us have been on here talking for months and months now and there has been a fair share of disagreements but everyone gets over it, usually apologizes and moves on. For the most part we all support and offer each other great advice and encouragment. When you have this many people interacting on such touchy subjects (what is more precious than our children) there are bound to be disagreements.

Heather how about letting by gones be by gones?--I have apologized. What more would you like me to do?

This is a very odd web site. I have been on it a long time and while we do have bratty trolls that come through here, it's really not that bad. Things do get heated in here often, but I would expect that is fairly normal around mothers who have different opinins on things. I have had several fairly strong e-arguments (lol) about things only to become good friends with them. It's just the nature of the game I think. When one person says they think doing such and such is awful, it will offend someone else who does it. In the end, people just feel defencive if they think someone is attacking their style of parenting. Things get heated and then calm down. Over the year there is one or two people that I generally don;t care for too much, but mostly I like everyone....even the ones I have fought with.

And, to add to Bonnie's post (because I ditto what she said), I have very little adult conversation, besides my mom and dh, so this is where I "talk". And if you spend enough time with anyone, you're going to disagree with them from time to time. I'm just glad we can have heated debates, and then go on and agree with each other on the next topic. I'm thankful to have this forum to come to, just to have adult interaction. You can't get all caught up in the cattiness or the rudeness, because 1, you can't tell a persons tone by their typing, and 2, who cares??? Respond or don't, and go on, that's what I do. And if it's one of the few people that I really don't care for, I don't respond.

I love you guys! Seriously! It is so awesome to automatically have a dozen friends right there whenever you have a question or need someone to talk to.

It is also a full moon this weekend. It can make people a little nutso! Between the full moon and PMS, hubby said he was considering locking in the bedroom with choolate and french fries until Monday since I was being so agressive. I told him he was being a big baby and to quite whining... Uh-oh, that did sound sort of PMS-ish. Guess I had better go back to my bedroom for a few days. ;)

To add on to what others have said, I will also say that my husband always laughs and says there is bound to be drama anywhere there is a big group of women together, LOL. Some might get offended by this comment, but I whole heartedly agree with him. It happens.=)

pms? lol I think allot of us are stressed out and many ladies have become pretty close on here, so sometimes people take out their frustration on people they feel they can trust. Usually we all make up in the end and it all works out =)
