My son is 11 months old. Should I start weaning him off the formula or wait until he goes for his 1 year check up? Thanks!

I'd wait until his one year check up, just to keep the nutrients flowing. I know parents who give their kids formula a few months after their kids turn 1, I think thats fine, it has so many vitamins and minerals that they still need.

I started weaning Ethan a couple of weeks shy from his 1st Birthday. He usually drinks 7-8oz of Enfamil, so the first week I put 6oz of enfamil and 2 of whole milk. Second week we but 4oz of enfamil and 4oz of whole milk. This week we are starting 2 oz of enfamil and 6 oz of whole milk. Next week hopefully he will be off the formula. So far he is doing very well. He is eating and pooping well. I have replaced one of his bottle feeding with his sippy cup. Maybe next week we will replace 2 of his bottle with his sippy cups, we will see. We take it day by day. Good luck. Hope that helps. But I would definately not wean, unless your DS is eating well and gaining weight.
