Can anyone tell me anything to do to stop or reverse my hair falling out? Is there something over the counter or some vitamin? Anyone have experience with something that worked for them? Thank you in advance for your help..

First, get your thyriod checked. It is really common to have thyroid problems up to a year after having a baby. Then make sure you are getting enough protein, niacin, and all the oth B vitamins. Deficencies in any of those areas can cause hair loss.

Thank you Kara H I appreciate your reply. It has been a year and a month since I had austin and my hair has steadily fallen out since then. I wonder if I just went back to taking my prenatal vitamins that it may help? I am hoping to not have to go to the doctor if possible.... let me know if you can.......about the prenatal vit.....sorry to hear your lo is sick hope he gets better soon.

I have the same problem. I went to see a detmatologist and he told me that in my case, it's probably genetic and that it was triggered earlier than normal (happens usually in 50, 60 and up) by either mental stress (work,/life trauma etc) or physical stress of some kind (like pregnancy/childbirth/illness). He put me on rogain for a while but it's really hard to use if your a woman with long hair. I could take propecia, but I just don't want to go there yet. So I'm basically wearing my hair in ways that camouflage as much as possible and I'm using Nioxin Shampoo and treatment which seems to help a bit. You can't really tell anymore although it's never gone back to what it used to be.
