My favorite childhood memory was when I was in 2nd grade going on to 3rd grade during that summer my family went to Disney world. It was me and my bro and mom and dad. We had a ford ranger with a cab on the back.....my dad put a mattress in the bed and me and bro sat in the back of the truck on mattress and we traveled from tennessee to florida camping along the way.....then we went to disney world and of course that was great though I only remember certain rides.....but the best part was the camping and playing together and it is something I will always remember so happily.........what about you? Please try to let me know your age or grade because I am also curious how far back our memories can go since I am now a mom.......this memory is about the earliest I have and it is my best......

The summers - I loved being off in the summer and playing outside. I enjoyed "sewing" too - mom would let me make potholders. :-)

wow, i have lots but i think my most favorite is when my family and i used to spend christmas mornings together. Something about the atmosphere. We would go to my grandparents and then home every year....same routine. I lovd that. I remember my dad taking me to the neighborhood park to teach me how to ride my bike....i remember going trick or treating with my family....i remember going to the beach the year my parents got divorced, my mom and all of us kids went and we had so much fun. After my parents divorced , things really didnt seem that fun : ( Thats why i never want to get divorced because i know what an impact that was on my life. They divorced when i was 8 and i feel i missed out on alot of years of fun doing the " family thing". When my dad remarried we went to the beach alot with my stepmom but it wasnt the same. I dont really remember the ages of my good times but they were all under the age of 8 ! I sometimes worry that i wont provide enough memories for my boys, ya know ?? I want them to have tons of good memories from home and i want to have traditions and things we do that they can remember to look back on : )

Hmmm, mine would probably be playing with my mom. I remember we used to live in California, and we had a nectarine tree that was too heavy with fruit. The branches were beginning to bend, so we picked some of the least ripe ones and had a nectarine fight. I think I was about 6. Another one of my good memories was stealing lemons with my friend Warren. We were about 5 and used to be able to run all over trhe neighborhood, it was really safe and out in the boonies. We used to take sticks and knock lemons off of my neighbor's tree and then sneak into my house, grab some sugar, and make lemonade. My earliest memory was getting my knee stuck in my crib and freaking out, hehe. I am 21.

I remember playing in the yard well past dark. You know kickball, softball, riding bikes around the dirt track we made in the side yard. I remember camping out at my Grandmas in the yard. I remembe having danilion races across the pond at my grandma's, which is now my parants pond, they built a house across the pond from where my grandmother lived, my aunt now lives there…..anyway I can't pin point an age as we did these things a lot, so I remember doing these things all the time. I say start doing stuff you like now and one day your kids will have this eveyr summer or winter or whatever we used to …… We take our two year old bowling in the winter when we have all been couped up in the house for too long. We found a sitter for our infant…Creating a good childhood full of good memories is important to me. I loved my childhood and talk about it all the time. My dh didn’t have quite the same experience I did. His parents divorced and it was hard on him and all he remembers is that pain. Even his happy memories are tainted as he wonders if his parents were really happy at the time. His happy memories are from before they got divorced. He was five. He ahd happy memmories after that, but they were all at his grandparents. The ran a duck hunting club. They eventually got sick of the idiot owners and left, and the club since has relly gone down hill so he doesn’t' really have that anymore. I just want to create some lasting happy memories for my kids so they can remember their childhood like I remember mine. We didn't have a whole lot, but we were happy…..

My pets!!! We had so many. Cats, rabbits, turtles, you name it, we probably had it. My dad would build special pens for the baby rabbits that had an upstairs and downstairs. lol I want my child to be an animal lover like I am. Going to the zoo was always fun and weinie roasts and sliding in the winter time. Dad would sometimes pull us back up the hill in our sled with his skidoo. Going to the lake to go swimming. I have many favorites although my childhood wasn't always happy And we never had much but we survived and I believe it makes me grateful for what I have now.

One of my fondest childhood memories was my first day of 3rd grade. My mom worked fulltime since I was 6 wks old and I always came home to a babysitter. On this day my mom surprised me by being home when I got home. She made tacos for lunch. It was just the two of us and we sat at the counter and she asked me all about school and my teacher. It was so nice to have just some 1:1 time with her. But this wasn't my earliest memory. My earliest memory was my first Christmas. I was 6 months old.
