I've got a 6 month old ds and it is suppose to rain all week so any fun ideas on how to pass the day? I'm trying to not spend money :(

My friend did this with her first child and now with her second so I decided to try it. She bought an inflatable pool (about 4 feet in diameter) and puts a thick blanket down. Then she puts in a few toys and puts her baby in and it creates an instant playpen. We just did this a week ago and my 7 month old son LOVES it. It is better than a playpen because they don't feel caged in and you can get down and play with them too. My son just rolls around playing with different toys and practicing crawling. I highly recommend it. The pool only costs about $5.00.

SonyaM what a good idea. Sounds fun! My dd is only 4 1/2 months but I think I will try that next month. It's 105-110 all summer here so we will be indoors during the day over the summer.

YC, yes it is HOT here all summer too. Well, actually it's almost always hot here. I am in south central Texas and our summers are pretty brutal. It really is a great idea. I wish I had thought of it. HA!
