have you changed detergent? Has he had his shots here recently? Rash spreads w/ heat. ALWAYS apply cool to a rash......

no haven't changed detergent, he hasn't had shots yet, i don't know what could be causing it? and it doesn't seem to be a rash but more like tons of tiny pimples

Is he drooling or spitting up a lot? Drool and spit up has acid in it which can irritate the skin. Put a bib on him and keep his clothes dry. This should help

thanks i'll try that and see ho it works!

I was going to ask the same question, but I'm 99% sure that my dd's rash is from her spitting up. She has reflux, so she spits up constantly. I don't know if your ds spits up, but I read that you should rinse the area with a damp wash cloth after they spit up or drool and that will help clear and avoid the rash in the future. Poor thing, I hope it clears by next week when we're supposed to get her pic taken.

Oh yeah, my dd LIVES in bibs because of her spit up and still get this rash, so maybe just check his face too to make sure it went on the bib and not on his face and neck.

If your baby is a newborn- a couple weeks old it could be just that... pimples (infant acne). If it is there's not anything you can do except wash w/ water, but it should clear itself up in a few weeks.

Yeah...it does sound like infant acne. My firstborn developed it when she was several weeks old. Supposedly it is caused from the drop in hormone level in the baby's body after birth. For my dd, it lasted a couple of weeks....and like sahmof3 mentioned, just use water on it. GL.

Yup, sounds like infant acne. My son got a horriible case of it from 4-8 weeks of age. The best thing to do is wash your baby's face several times a day with warm water. Baby soap can irritate his skin further. It'll go away soon, I promise.

like the others said, it sounds like baby acne. wash his face out with water (IMO not too many times, because that'll dry his skin out.) I did it twice a day and thats it. Dont use any creams or baby oil. I know its annoying, but the baby doesnt feel it. It bothers the parents lol. I never touched my ds's and it went away after a few weeks.
