My ds is 3 months 1 week and i was wondering when the next growth spurts are? LAst night he was up every 2 -2.5 hrs, wanting to eat. HIs sleep was getting better with 2 (max) feeding at a night sometimes only needing 1 but last night he drove me crazy wanting to eat everytime he woke up and not sleeping very much! Just wondering if this is a growth spurt? DOn't they usually sleep more during a growth spurt though???

Most children go through growth spurts at 6 weeks, then 3 months. I found that when my little man was going through growth spurts he was sleeping through during the 1st one (6 weeks) and has stopped sleeping through for his next one (6 months). He seemed to miss the 3 months one. The times they say are all relative in relation to your own baby, as are all other milestones.

what can you expect for a growth spurt? just eating more?

I found that he just ate a lot more. I don't know if less sleep is a common sign because during his first one he wasn't sleeping through anyway. I just found he was waking for more feeds than normal and wanted A LOT more food during the day. He has stopped sleeping through recently but cannot say for sure if this is down to his growth spurt or not. Again, he is just eating more.

3 weeks 6 weeks 3 months 6 months 9 months 12 months give or take a week. I so believe they sleep less and eat more during the times. Then their bodies do a catch up on all the intake of food and sleep more.
