When did you all stop burping your baby to get rid of gas. I can't remember when I stopped with my first ds who is 2, go figure. My memory is gone...lol

This may sound pretty stupid, but i still burp my little one and he just turned one on the 12th. He is a reflux baby, so I guess I just feel better knowing that the gas is out.... but I can be a little a___l retentive.. ;) .... But I think otherwise you can stop burping them when they are able to move a little more on their own. I have a 20 yr old, a 15 yr old, and a one yr old, so all this stuff is new to me as well. you would be suprised at how much you do forget...LOL.

I still burp my 9 month old and I usually get great burps out of her partly because she's moving a lot and bouncing up and down and turning every which way when sitting on my lap. But if I don't get anything after about 2 minutes or so I don't worry about it because I know she'll burp on her own because of all the moving around she down. Once they start getting pretty active and mobile like that you don't really need to worry about it so much.

He's not sitting up yet even so I'd better keep at it then.

My dd is 7 months old and I only burp her if she acts like she needs to be burped. So around 7 or 8 months.

Usually when they take more solid than liquid feedings.
