When Can You Back To The Movie Theater

I haven't gone to see a movie since I was 7 months pregnant. After my seventh month I couldn't sit comfortably for that long without raising my legs. I want to go the movies but ofcourse it will have to be a kids movie because I don't have a babysitter. DD is 5 months, she is probably to young now to enjoy a movie now. So I am wondering, when did you ladies start taking your kids to the movies? I am also considering the Children's Museum I heard they have activities that even 6 month- olds might enjoy.

well you could always go to a drive in then it won't matter if you have your kids or not they won't bother anyone...thing is most young kids get bored in the movies having to sit still is hard for them so I would say wait til they are atleast 5 unless you enjoy chasing your 3yr old down the isle LOL (sorry I learned the hard way!!)

Some movie theatre have baby times--"Stroller Movies" or something they're called where only momsies with kids go. Maybe phone a theatre and hear if they offer that??

Hmm. I was a week from my due date the last time I went (Pirates: Dead Man's Chest, heck yeah!) and the next time we'll go will probably be May 25th (Pirates: Worlds End) Gretchen'll probably go with us because I don't know anyone well enough to watch her. She'll be 10months old then. I just figure we'll sit near the exit in case she gets too restless. There is no drive-in or baby times in our weeney tiny town.

I go to Stars and Strollers once a month where all the moms take babies. They even give free warm wipes at the counter with your $7 Cokes, lol. Check around your town to see if anyone offers it. (Only 1 theater here out of 7). Also, we have gone to a matinee on Sunday morning (10:30am) with both our boys and just sat by the back. There were mostly familes with younger children there - no one seemed to mind when Hudson fussed...
