When Do You Stop Breastfeeding First

I have been told to always br___tfeed dd first before feeding her solids because br___tmilk should be #1 in her diet. However, I am finding that dd doesn't want to eat her solids, and I am going to assume it's because she isn't really hungry after nursing. I have been waiting a while before trying to feed her, but even after an hour, she is refusing to eat (or will eat very little). She's 10 months old now. What should I do?

My son loves b___stfeed and if I nurse him first he will not eat a bite of food. I have actually been feeding him solids first since about 7.5 months and nursing after wards. He still nurseds quite a bit and knows he gets to nurse after he eats. He is 10 months old. If you are comfortable with it I would feed solids first. Hope this helps.

Okay, how long after you feed / fed solids did you nurse?

It seems to me like it was about 1/2-1 hour later? But, I quit nursing 7 months ago, so I'm a little fuzzy on the details...hopefully someone currently nursing can be more help...
