I started it in the mornign so if there was any allergies I would find out during the day instead of middle of the night. Ds was allergic to rice cereal so then we went to Oatmeal and thats fine after he did ok on it we switched it to before bed time to try to get him to sleep longer (wich never worked for us) but then we did night time feedings then added breakfast then lunch.

I did the same as Lisa for the same reason... a couple weeks later I went to 2 meals a day and a couple weeks later 3 meals a day. I always introduced new foods in the morning.

Hi boolie!!! I started at night - between his last two bottles. After two weeks, I went to mid-morning and night. Then I changed the night feeding to a vegetable. I think we will stay at two feedings a day until he hits 6 months. To be honest, I didn't think about the allergies and starting him in the morning...duh...but its worked out well thus far :o) :o)

I also started late-morning to check for signs of allergies, then after a week switched it to evening before last bottle. Then I added it at both late-morning and evening. After the rice cereal was established I added pureed pear in the same way, and eventually added other things like pureed apple carrot etc. I only ever introduced a new food every three days so as to check for allergies and not overload her system. I actually used ' The New Contented Baby Book ' by Gina Ford as a guide for starting solids as I had no idea what I was doing lol. It ended up working great for our dd.
