Why Do Babies Fight Their Naps

This whole week my little one has been fighting against her naps... We are in the process of trying to get her a different sleep habit at night but her fighting her naps was before that.. I think she is teething as she also seems more fussy than usual, but i was just wondering if there is anything that causes them to fight their naps? She is 5 months and one week old.

definitely could be teething. that happened this week for 2 days then he went back to normal. ours definitely was teething related.

Life just gets too darned exciting when they can start to comprehend what's going on and learn new things. Any time my daughter learned something new (rolling over, sitting up, standing) it meant a week of fighting naps because she'd prefer to be awake and do all these cool things. Teething is a definite possibility especially if you've noticed any other teething symptoms. It could also be over-excitement-- have you changed your routine at all? or being overtired, or she just doesn't quite need as much sleep and wants to hold off on napping. (My daughter also changes her routine about once every 2-3 months)
