Yellow Spit Up

My 6 week old daughter spit up about a half hour after her feeding (I was bouncing her because she was fussy - I guess a little too much!) and there was yellow in it. It was mostly white, like usual, but there were these dark yellow spots in it. I called the ped, but he hasn't called back yet. Any ideas? She seems ok otherwise... She's fussy, but that's nothing abnormal. Actually, she's sleeping in her swing now, so I think she's feeling fine...

Sounds like it is just stomach acids. Stomach acids is normal if she just got sick from you bouncing her or maybe she is getting sick. It could also be acid reflux though.

JessC531-I had the same thing happen a cpl weeks ago when my ds was 6 weeks. He had spit up and there were these dark yellow spots in the otherwise white colored spit up. It was the only time I ever noticed that though. Bc he started spitting up on a regular basis from the 5 week mark I had to put him on the Enfamil AR formula (specifically made for babies that spit up) Hope this helps.

My DS does this too. Find out from your doctor if she might have reflux. My DS does and it sometimes looks yellowish and it is stomach acid breaking down the food already.
