Ok, i am 16 and 4 months pregnant with twins a boy and a girl. I was wondering what they do when you are pregnant with twins? Like do they do a c-section or can you deliver naturally??? sorry but i was just curious....

You can absolutely deliver twins naturally. A twin pregnancy is a higher risk, though (any multiple is) so I'd bet there are more cases of c-sections with twins/multiples than with single births. Don't quote me on that though, lol. There's actually a whole board on here devoted to twins and multiple births... I would check that out, it'll probably answer a LOT of your questions. But my best friend successfully delivered twins (though she had an epidural so technically not "naturally") at 36 weeks, and they are happy healthy 7 year olds now. Good luck with your pregnancy! ~spam

You can deliver naturally, my aunt did 18 months ago but a lot will depend on how they are lying nearer the birth. If they aren't both in a good position then a c-section will be necessary. You also have to be prepared to maybe deliver one v____ally and the other by c-section due to the womb becoming quite floppy after the first is born and the chance twin 2 may change it's position. Twins are also usually delivered in theatre due to this reason but this is normal so don't panic if they mention this later - it is just as a back up should anything go wrong. I a__sume you know you are considered high risk due to the twins and your age but make sure you ask questions, torture your Doctor/Midwife if you have any queries or problems and this forum is always here should you need any spport. Congratulations on your baby boy and girl!
