I am 38 weeks. About three weeks ago I had become very sick to my stomach, wasn't able to hold anything down for 24 hrs. I had to get IV for dehydration. And once again about a week after that. Sometimes I just cannot hold my food down. I tried the brat diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast). Even drinking clear fluids and sometimes I'm still sick to my stomach. On the 5th I went to L&D at about 0200hrs for contractions that were 2 minutes apart. Well about an hour after I got there, they just tapered off. I was 2 cm dilated. I went again on the 7th and the 11th. Still 2 cm. This is my third (and last) child. The first 15 yrs ago came at 36 wks. The second 2 yrs ago came at 35 wks. So I was just certain that this one would be as early. This feels like an eternity and I'm not even at 40 weeks yet!. I've tried s_x, nipple stimulation, castor oil, c_min seed tea, red raspberry leaf tea, eggplant parmesian, black cohosh, blue cohosh, walking briskly, jogging, pedicure, acupuncture, parsley tea, housework, castor oil on my belly with a warm compress for 30 minutes, pineapple...oh and just a couple of hours ago I tried a raw potato. The contractions are still spaced out, braxton hicks. I also experience diarrhea like every day now. I'm guessing I'm close maybe.
