I was told that contractions were the worst part, and that it didn't hurt when you were pushing the baby because of how far dialated you would be your baby would just come out. Is this true, or does it hurt the whole time?

Ive also heard the contractions are the worst part... but i heard the only reason that pushing is a relief is because you get to work with your contractions to push the baby out..

Ummm i have heard this too and i did not feel anything with my daughter because of my epi but my sister works in a n obs office and it pretty much hurts the whole time. The contractions are bad and uncomfortable but when you push it is still as uncomfortable if not more for most women ... good luck

It's true in a WAY. It does actually feel "good" in a way, once you are pushing, because you are working with the contraction. BUT, there is a reason that the crowning of the head is called the "ring of fire." Just breath and concentrate and it will be all over before you know it and your baby will be here! :)
