When being induced are you confined to bed by fetal monitor ? Or are you still able to move about the room and hallway?

I wasn't confined with Pitocin even though I had an IV. But I had to try to pee and walk around with it, lol. Once I had the epidural I was confined.

I wasn't confined when I had cervadil, but then they gave me pitocin and I was put on the fetal monitor. They told me that when I got the pitocin that they would have to stick me on the monitor just to watch the contractions and how he reacted to both the contractions and the pitocin.

I got to roam the halls when I was on the cervadil, but I knew I should enjoy every minute of it b/c I knew I wasn't going to walk around again until after I delivered

I was hooked up to a fetal monitor the whole time while being induced. But if I wanted to get up and walk a little or use the bathroom, I just unplugged the monitor, and carried the cords that were hooked to me, then plugged it back in when I layed back down. The nurse watching the monitor at the nurses station could tell when I unplugged it so they knew there wasn't a problem.
