P'd off!! - November 17

Hey all..just having a bit of a moan bout things..im 39 weeks pregnant and feeling really fed up now..this is my first baby and wish things would start happening already!!i had a show about 17 days ago, gettin pains quite alot and signs of labor and still NOTHING!!ive had enough of people saying ''you still not had it yet??''arghhh. Anothing thing that has p'd me off a bit is my m/w and m/w appointments..It just does'nt seem like my m/w is bothered at all-all she seems to want to do is get me in and out as fast as she can..my last midwife appointment was 2 weeks ago and she said '' well i should be seeing you every week now but lets just leave u for another couple of weeks'' so have'nt got another appt til im 40 weeks(nxt week)..so no urin testing,no blood pressure testing and no checking the baby..how the h__l are they meant to know everything is ok with the baby if i dont get the appointments im supposed too.Anyway sorry for moanin just had to get it off my chest!!lol

I would give a call to her office and request to be seen every week...by 36 weeks you should be going in to check all of the above on a weekly basis...just because she thinks all is fine...(and it probably is) does not mean that she should be changing the general rules...I know its hard to hear but it will happen soon...I still have 4 1/2 months ahead of me...good luck and come back and let us know when you finally have your baby in your arms.

I would call her office and let her know you want to be seen. This is the time when BP and swelling can become problems.

yeah, I think you should be seen weekly definitely because symptoms can always come and go in a week. She needs to be monitoring your progress
