Im now 6 days overdue, with my second son. I have been dilated to 2 centimeters for 3 days, have been losing my plug for over two weeks now and contracting for over two weeks now. My doctor finally sc___ped my membranes 2 days ago and still NOTHING!!!! Hopefully it helps you guys out. Good Luck!

my friend who just had a baby told me she had that done and NOT to do it that its WAY painful.

I had it done twice with first pregnancy - and the first time led to a "show" but my child was still two weeks late. Firmly believe, now, that baby only comes when it's ready - especially since last week when baby no.2 did not even show with an induction (two lots of gel) and we're still waiting. I wouldn't bother putting yourself through the discomfort! (Although my first pregnancy was quite quick....)

To edit above ....OOPS! I meant my LABOUR/delivery time, overall, was quick. (NOT 'pregnancy'!)
