I had pains something like that for a long time when I first got pregnant and come to find out it is acid reflux the pain was in the middle of my chest and would shoot straight to my back. I take previcid everyday. You may want to mention it to your doctor and see if this is what it may be.

when i was 24 weeks pregnant i had a pain on my right. It got worse as the night went on and became a cramping pain. I had a very severe urine infection and was also pa__sing kidney stones. When the pain got unbearable i went to the hop.i dont know if this helps.

I AM HAVING TERRIBL AND I MEAN TERRIBLE PAINS IN MY SIDES AND IT CAN LAST FOR AN HOUR AT A TIME AND IS COMPLETELY UNBEARABLE AND I EXPLAIN IT AS FEELING LIKE A CHARLIE HORSE IN MY SIDES, I KNOW THAT IT IS NOT CONTRACTIONS BECAUSE THIS IS MY 2ND PREGNANCY AND I KNOW WHAT THEY FEEL LIKE I HAVE HAD CONTRACTIONS ON AND OFF SENSE I WAS 18 WEEKS AND I AM GOING ON 35 WEEKS NOW. I TOLD MY DOCTOR AND HE WOULD NOT REALLY LISTEN TO ME. I NEVER HAD THIS BEFORE. I HAVE HAD KIDNEY STONES AND THIS HURTS A WHOLE LOT WORSE. I DONT HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT IT COULD BE AND THE THOUGHT OF IT ACTING UP AGAIN TERRIFIES ME TO DEATH IT HURTS SO BAD.

I have the same kind of pains in my side and I was told by a nurse that they are round ligament pains. Which from what I understand, is the baby putting prressure on these ligaments and causing it to feel very uncomfortable and quite painful. I was told that when these pains come, to drink plenty of water and lie down on the left side. Believe it or not it actually does work (for the most part). I can say it's better than grabbing your side, bending over in agony and waiting for the pain to subside. Hope this helps!

LOL I was just in the hospital tonight for that problem. They really need to do some research on this. Because it was only on my right side and they asked all the norm. questions, too much activity, not enough water, UT infection, blah blah blah... Well I was sent home after being told it was round ligament pains, I told them I know what those are and its not in the same area, but they swear thats what it is. I was kinda mad though seen as my babies heartbeat was in the 170's and mine was 124.. but who knows.. hopefully someone will find out what is going on with us.

I had these terrible pains and only on the right side and my doctor told me the way the baby was laying that my urine was backing up into my kidney causing all the pain. I had my daughter July 17 and I got my tubes tied and I had a baseball sized cyst on my right ovary and that might have been why. Laying on the left side did help to relieve the pain.

This could also be the uterus contracting, and muscles stretching.
