I have heard that now a days doctors are so quick to cut you so you don't rip. I have also heard that there are some techniques that can be done prior to delivery to help decrease the likelihood that you will rip. I have heard that you can massage the area with a warm water and try to stretch the area. Can anyone tell me if thye ahve tried this or any other technique?

Some people ma__sage with oils. You can discuss when you would or wouldn't want an episiotomy with your doctor ahead of time. It should be up to you. I've heard warm compresses during the birth help everything stretch, too. Good luck.
