I'm 11 weeks pregnant and had some dark brown (I'm guessing dried blood) discharge after I wiped this morning. I don't have any cramping or anything at this point...is this the beginning of a miscarriage? Please respond...I am so terrified...thanks to all

NO, it's not a miscarriage, women often bleed off and on during pregnancy, it is common. I have since my 3rd week of pregnancy and am now 7 weeks and is dark brown. As long as it doesn't turn bright red and soak up pad every hour, you will be just fine.

You should be perfectly fine I am 7 weeks pregnant and am experiencing the same problem. It can be down to many things such as a mini period. If you would have been due a period around this time your body may still be sending hormones to make you bleed and this is often brown in pregnancy. The best thing you can do is keep calm and dont worry. If it gets worse or you see any red blood contact your midwife. Good luck and I hope all goes well

I was 8 weeks yesterday and woke up this morning and when I wiped I had a little bit of dark discharge. I am scared that it might turn into a miscarriage, but I was told if there isn't any cramping along with it it is normal. I haven't had any cramping and this is about the time that I would get my period. HELP!!!

Stormygirl; I had some brownish spotting when I was pg with my DD, and I was fine, although definitely scared (was due to a sub-chorionic haematoma). As many as one in three women experience some sort of spotting/bleeding during pregnancy, and go on to have a normal pregnancy. Go see your doc if the bleeding gets heavier or if you start having cramping/backache- let us know how you're going- juju
