Hi everyone, I wanted to share my story and see if anyone else out there have had the same issue. First thing I have 4 large fibroids..I am 19 weeks and onTuesday I had an ultrasound done the baby is doing fine as far as internal organ development but was measuring small...measuring only 17 weeks and the head was measuring a little smaller. My ob/gyn thinks it is IUGR due to the fibroids. I'm just wondering if it could be a birth defect or if baby is just small due to limited room. I have another u/s with a MFM specialist on June 14th, but I just wanted to see if anyone else had this issue and what the outcome was.. Thanks

I forgot to add, baby's weight is where it should be for 19 weeks.

One of my triplets had severe IUGR due to an umblilical cord issue from 18 weeks to birth at 32 weeks. The MFM will probably do a blood flow doppler u/s to measure blood flow in the umbilical cord and middle cerebral artery. My baby's outcome was great. He was very tiny at birth, only 1 lb 9 oz, but very healthy. Good luck!

Thanks Triplet mom...wow Triplets! I bet you never have a dull moment now :) besides your little one's weight was there any concern for "length" growth. I'm not pregnant with triplets but was room and issue for you? Room is an issue for me due to the large fibroids..long story short were the babies length ever an issue and did their heads ever measure weird because of the room issue? Thanks again
