6 Weeks With Low HCG

I have a history of miscarriage X2. First in 1999 then in Aug.2006. Different fathers. I hadn't planned on getting pregnant, I am recovering from back surgery. So, I wasn't watching ovulation. I believe my LMP was 1 1/2 weeks after surgery.(Not sure, didn't think I needed to worry about it right then). We ended up having s_x twice...during my 7 week recovery. Guess it worked. I am now 7 weeks pregnant. I started spotting and cramping on Thursday. Then Monday, We did our first sonogram and blood work, I measured 6 2/7 weeks last Monday. We found a heart beat 122. Progesterone 7.8., HCG 1213. The Dr. started me on progesterone supp. I have had minimal bleeding (light pink when I wipe) and occas. cramping. On Wed. we drew another HCG. it only went up to 1618. I really thought get ready for a miscarriage. But, still cont. progesterone supp. Occas. spotting when wiping and cramp maybe 1-2 times a day. On Friday, went for another sonogram. Prepared myself for no heartbeat...but it was still there at 146. The sac looked better ( I guess fuller??)according to the sonographer but hadn't grown. But, it had only been 3 days in between. I am only spotting when I wipe a couple of times a day with hardly any cramping. (still on progesterone). We are doing another HCG tomorrow and probably another sonogram on Tuesday. I have only read posts with slow rising HCG and no heartbeat. I haven't seen anyone with slow rising HCG's and heartbeats...anyone experienced this or have any suggestions? My Dr. says to stay optomisitic and as long as the numbers go up and not down there is a chance....HELP!!! I am driving myself crazy...I dont' seem to fit with anyone else.

Im sorry that your experiencing this and I hate to be the one to say this but your HCG levels are suppose to double every 2-3 days and if not the viability goes down alot. many women have seen there baby with a HB and than later m/c its a nasty horrible experience and Im so sorry you have one through 2 already. I have heard of women having weird HCG levels as you described and than it starts doubling after like it should but usually a vanishing twin is involved, good luck and take care sweety .
