IM 7 WEEKS PREGNANT WITH MY FIRST BABY SO IM CONFUSED, SCARED, AND DONT NO WHAT TO THINK!!! OK, STARTING ON THE 19TH I STARTED TO NOTICE VERY LIGHT SPOTTING. THEN ON THE 21ST I STARTED NOTICING A LIL MORE BLOOD (DARK RED) BUT JUS NOT AS HEAVY AS PERIOD BLOOD. NOW TODAY IS THE 24TH AND IM STILL LIGHTLY BLEEDING (BUT OFTEN MORE THEN AT OTHER TIMES AND STILL DARK RED BLOOD) BUT MOST OF THE TIME I CAN ONLY SEE THE BLOOD AFTER I GO TO THE BATHROOM AND WHIP. THEN A COUPLE OF TIMES I HAVE NOTICED IT ON THE PAD, BUT NEVER AS HEAVY AS PERIOD BLOOD. I GO LATER ON TODAY TO HAVE ANOTHER BLOOD TEST SO THAT THEY CAN COMPARE THE TEST AND THE RESULTS SHOULD BE IN BY FRIDAY MORNING. SO COULD THIS BE A SIGN OF AN MIS-CARRIAGE OR COULD THIS BE LIKE A LAST LIL PERIOD OR SOMETHING??? PLEASE CAN ANYONE OFFER ANY ADVICE!!! HAVE ANY ONE EVER GONE THRU THIS???

alot of women bleed when preg. If you have heavy bleeding and cramping and are in pain that could be a sign of mis carriage. But other than that its pretty normal to bleed but to be on the safe side you should go to the hospital to be check out.. Good Luck and stay positive

i had kind of a last light period for about a week...brown spotting enough for a panty liner first couple days then just spotting when i wipe for about a week, i took a pregnancy test because it wasn't like a normal period and it was positive. i saw my doctor and told him and he didnt say anything was wrong after my exam so try not to worry too much unless you start to have heavy bleeding and cramps. as with anything youre unsure or out of the ordinary in pregnancy though, you should call your doctor to be advised what to do. you said your going in to have a blood test so thats good. good luck! keep us informed what happens.

Hello Anyla. As I read your email, for a moment, thought I was reading about myself. I had severe cramping yesterday accompanied by bleeding. ER v____al ultrasound showed no fetus but, I may not be as far along as we thought (7wks). I, too go for repeat Beta HCG tomorrow and hope my number has doubled from 640. I have had dark red bleeding, and clots but not quite as much a period but quite similar. The cramps were quite painful but now only a slight tender uterus/pelvis. This is my first baby too and I know how scared you must be. Truly, the smartest thing is to not fret while you wait for repeat labs. If the fetus was unhealthy for some developmental reason, the body, in an attempt to protect itself and from developing a chromosomal or birth defect fetus, will attempt to "rid" itself of fetal tissue. There is also the chance of ectopic pregnancy. Many factors are to be considered. Mainly realize about 15-20% pregnancies spontaneously miscarry. 85% of those women go on to carry a successful term. Some v____al bleeding during the first tri. is quite normal. If you're not experiencing any cramping, I suspect you are progressing normally. Some women even have periods, light, for three months or so and are still pregnant. Really, bottom line, if this is a healthy pregnancy, not in danger of birth defects or abnormalities beyond your control, then your body should not "reject" the fetal material. I am trying to surrender my fear to the Lord as I wait to learn if I miscarried. I am 37y/o so are my eggs. However, I remain hopeful I may still very well be pregnant despite the moderate v____al bleeding. The cramping is my other concern. One final note, discuss with your doctor if you need to go ahead and receive Rhogam (an Rh factor ) injection by shot. Be certain to ask if you should proceed depending on your blood type etc. Be blessed and I pray the Lord to protect you and your lil' warrior you carry. If it's a healthy baby, you should be ok. If, on the other hand, the baby was in jeopardy for developmental defects or such, it was your body's way of protecting you and a complicated pregnancy. Remember, miscarriages are quite common and nothing you did or didn't do on your or your partner's part has a bearing. It's simply the body's way of a__suring a safe pregnancy. Conception later is 85% good for you! Feel free to touch base and....let me know of your repeat labs. Your sister in Christ, Alexis
