Abdominal Cramping

I have just found out that I am pregnant and will be about 3 weeks pregnant. Ihave been suffering form abdominal cramping for the last week. hye are similar to menstral cramping. I find it relates to need to urinate or defecate Is this normal?

Hi Vanessa; cramping in early pregnancy can be very normal, as long as it isn't accompanied by bleeding - which is not normal. I always have cramping in the early stages of my pregnancies - it usually eases off after a few weeks, although I tend to have them on and off until the second trimester.Congratulations on your pregnancy!

It is to because you experience the same cramping you might before you start you regular period...all is normal and you shouldn't worry unless there is blood as mentioned.
