So i went to the er yesterday because i had a cramp and a mini-stream of blood. This happened at 5w3d as well and im 8w3d this time. I had an u/s done and saw my lil baby with a heartbeat(180) but they also saw a sac of blood beside the baby. The doc said it was small but that i cant have s_x/orgasam until further nothice. How risky is this?? He said that many women carry to term and have no problem, but i didnt ask is i'll bleed out this "pocket of blood" or if i should expect it to be reabsorbed?? Soo many questions!

I had a bleed at about 8 weeks and went straight to the doctor's for an ultrasound and the baby was fine. I had bleeding for a couple of days then it stopped. I had a follow up appt a week later and that's when they saw the ma__s of blood. It was crazy because just a week before that there wasn't anything. They told me that I would probably have a couple more episodes of bleeding and as long as it didn't get really bad or painful then it would all be ok. I had one more time of bleeding for a week then it stopped. I haven't had anything since and I'm now 17 1/2 weeks.

It sounds like a subchronic hemmorage..I had one in early pregnancy, and my midwife told me it usually goes away on its own.

I had a bleeding at 5 1/2 weeks (a big gush and clots), another two before 9 weeks due to this. My pregnancy is fine and the blood clot has gone. Now 24 weeks. I had no pain with any of the bleeds. I was told to 'take it easy' and not do anything too streneous.
