I am 36 weeks 5 days and can't stop thinking that something is going to be wrong with my baby. I really don't have much to base this on b/c I am 25 and healthy, my tests have all been normal, my baby is above average size and I havn't had any complications to speak of. However, every past behavior is now haunting me: (a) I smoked marijuana early in my pregnancy although I told my dr. and he didn't think it was a big deal (b) I got drunk a few times early in my pregnancy w/out knowing I was pregnant (c) I took a few xanax at about 6 months b/c I was having a panic attack (d) I noticed the other day that there was a small crack in the microwave (e) I have an paternal aunt who has Downs Syndrome (f) I got pregnant when I was on the pill which I heard can be harmful (g) At my sonogram yesterday the nurse mentioned that she thought his femur looked small but then made no other mention of it nor did the doctor. (h) my baby is extrememly active all the time. I can hardly sleep I am so scared that there is a problem. Please offer any support that you can. Thank you.

I don't think it will help you for people to tell you that you need to stop worrying. I get that all the time, and I just can't help but worry. You're almost there and you know that everything is probably fine, as I'm sure you have been told plenty. Just pamper and reward yourself during this challenging time and don't add the extra burden of worrying about worrying. Pregnancy feels like an awesome responsibility and nobody who is not in your place can understand how you feel.

Bless you. You really made my day by saying that. Thanks!
