WOULDN'T THAT BE DANGEROUS TO SOMEONE'S HEALTH (MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY)? I HAVE HAD MORNING SICKNESS DURING THE WHOLE PREGNANCY AND I EVEN GOT SICK THAT NIGHT. I DON'T GET IT, CAN ANYONE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE? THANKS

well, it is very hard to have to wait a whole week to have a dnc. i had the same thing to happen to me about a month ago and it is very hard to deal with mentally. but you have to leave everything in God's hand and he will help to keep you. look at it this way if the baby is 5 weeks behind, then you don't have to worry about the child having to suffer. you do have my sympathy i know it is a great loss, i feel you, but after having those pregnancies, your doctor should see what is going on. sometimes you have to ask so you don't have to go through that anymore. i have had 2 miscarriages and 2 ectopic, now my doc has me on provera and hopefully that will help. my hormones were not balanced. i wish you luck in the future, i know how it is, because the more you lose the more you want to become pregnant.

Hi Leann: I am so sorry to hear about all of your miscarriages. I just had my first miscarriage about 3 weeks ago. I went through some similar things with my doc. I should have been 11 weeks along and had been spotting very lightly for about 2 days. I went in for an ultra sound and the baby only measured 6 weeks and 4 days. The nurse said there was no heart beat and no fetal movement. She gave me all the info about miscarriage and talked to me about my options of having a D and C. I wanted to have a D & C as soon as possible because the thought of losing the baby naturally seemed horrible to me. So, the doc came in to talk to me about the D & C and basically said that there was still a chance that the baby was still alive and that I may have just been off on my dates. He suggested waiting until the following week to have a D & C and have my blood drawn that day and again a few days later to test the hormone levels to really be sure that it was a miscarriage. I was a little taken back by this because here I was sitting in the doc's office with all of these pamphlets about miscarriage but had this false hope that maybe the baby was still alive. My husband and I had been trying for about 4 months to get pregnant and I was 100% positive about my last period date so I knew there was no way the baby could be 5 weeks younger,. It was a long week waiting for the blood test and wondering if I would just miscarry naturally at any time. I went in for my blood work and when it came back it ended up really being a miscarriage and I had the D & C that day. I had to grieve all over again. I guess I can understand about doc's wanting to be absolutely sure, but it made it so much more difficult for me to deal with the loss. Hope this help. Good luck in the future!
