Does Being Rh Hurt My Chances

I had a m/c at 7.5 weeks. I found out at that time that I was B- and was given a rhogam shot. I know that I will have to get a shot at half gestation next time, but does this affect getting pregnant in the future? We are wanting to try again. Anyone out there been through the same type of thing?? Thanx!!

nmb0211, my MIL is Rh-. She has 4 healthy children. She just had to take the shots. So, I cannot say for sure because I don't know the whole story, but if my MIL is a good example, you'll be fine. So sorry about your m/c. I hope you can be blessed with a baby soon.

thanx for the bit of personal insight. It always helps to hear about people who have the same problem, even if it's just someone they know. and also- congrats to you!!! I'm guessing by your screen name that you're expecting. YAY

My mum had the same problem with the 3 of us. She is O- & the 3 of us are all O+. She never had ANY problems falling pregnant but did have some complications as she refused to take the shot (don't know why). Being RH- will have NOTHING to do with whether or not you can fall pregnant, but if your baby is RH+ & you haven't had the shots it can have an affect on the baby & whether or not you miscarry or carry to term. Good luck & I hope you are pregnant again soon.
