Ectopic And Facing Surgery

On February 7th my Dr. told me I was having a 'chemical' mc. I have been bleeding a little over 4 weeks and saw my OB this am. He did a va___al US and found an ectopic pregnancy. I am faced with surgery or methotrexate. I'm leaning more towards the surgery so that I have a definite/fast ending to this very long month. I am struggling with the decision of keeping my fallopian tube or having the Dr. remove it. He has left this decision up to me with all the pros and cons. I am very overwhlemed and would love any feedback from those of you who have had the surgery. Is my Dr. correct in saying that your chances of a pregnancy don't decrease that much with only one tube? Also, what is the recovery time after surgery?

He is correct - I have only one tube and I am currently 36 weeks along.. It did take a while (a few years) but we were not really trying, ya know? I had emergency surgery but they did the three small insicisions to remove it. I was up and about without feeling much pain within a few days. It did take several months before my cycles became normal but once they did, it was like nothing happened. I don't have expierence with the drugs, but I have heard that it's a hit or miss (sometimes they work, sometimes not)... I am glad that they caught it early enough for you to have the decision - mine burst and hurt like heck... No matter what you decide, I wish you the best of luck!
